Summit

Charity / Rock Concert / Social

Combining charity with an epic rock concert, Sound Summit is held annually at the Unversity of Toronto. Its aim is to bring compassionate individuals under one roof to give back to Toronto's improvished youth, all at the same time having a night to remember with great company. Sound Summit allows students and attendees to support or showcase local talent.

Being an international student during my time at the University of Toronto, I joined Sound Summit as an associate and volunteer because there weren't many adrenaline-pumping opportunities in suburban Mississauga. I wanted to become more involved in the community through helping the less fortunate. I was also keen in expanding my network not just professionally, but also creatively. Through Sound Summit, I was able to meet local bands who were enthusiastic at not just making really great music, but also helping those in need.

My role as a volunteer includes being a graphic designer for Sound Summit's social media marketing team, curator for attendees and band members, ensuring accuracy of logistics, administrative work, and most importantly, making sure that everyone was having a great time. Some bands who attended:
